The native Mac copy/paste does not work in Cursor’s chat/compose panes. I’ve read other posts about it, but none have found a solution. For some people apparently it does work with a single line copy but for me it doesn’t work at all. I can’t select text using Command + A either, or paste using right click.
I’m on the Pro trial and this is a dealbreaker since I can’t paste fragments of code into the chat
I’m using the following Cursor version on M1 Pro:
Version: 0.43.5
VSCode Version: 1.93.1
Commit: 2eaa79a1b14ccff5d1c78a2c358a08be16a8e5a0
Electron: 30.5.1
Chromium: 124.0.6367.243
Node.js: 20.16.0
V8: 12.4.254.20-electron.0
OS: Darwin arm64 23.4.0
Hey, you don’t need to copy code from the editor to insert it into the Chat or Composer. Just select the code and use the shortcut Cmd + Shift + L for Chat or Cmd + I for Composer. Let me know here if this resolves your issue.
Thanks for your reply. I do need to copy function names, or some other text to paste into the editor. The issue is not resolved.
It’s really really annoying
I can’t test it right now since I’ve deleted all the frozen Composers. However, what if you try editing the last message and running it again? It might work.
It still doesn’t work. Can you even right click in the composer/chat and copy or paste?
I can’t even use “Command + A” to select all text
