Cursor 2.4.31 broken Undo

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

The last couple of updates feel broken. On multiple occasions when I press undo / undo all on an agent edit it entirely deletes the page / component in question rather than reverting the edits. I have also noticed sometimes when undo’ing that it does not revert all code edits.

Steps to Reproduce

it is random

Operating System

Windows 10/11

I am getting this issue as well.
I asked Cursor to create a new file with my planned functionality. Then, asked for a modification. When I rejected the modification, the file was removed from the workspace, but was still available to view in the “Review” section, and still included the changes I rejected.

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known bug. Undoing changes in files created by the agent can sometimes delete the whole file instead of just reverting the changes.

A few users have reported this, and our team has confirmed it:

The team is aware and tracking it. No ETA yet, but reports like yours help us prioritize.

For now, if a file gets deleted this way, you can restore it using checkpoints. Open the chat where the agent made the changes, then use “Restore Checkpoint” to go back to the previous state.

you guys have to solve this, its crazy that this is still a bug. can’t make any undos because it keeps deleting the file. then i have to generate the file again to get it back….

Hey all.

This will be fixed in the next update of 2.5. Appreciate the reports.
