i really like the new cursor agents tab in 3.0. it feels practical, it’s packed with useful stuff, and it makes the workflow way more dynamic. great direction!
however i had an issue the first time i tried to work around it: i keep a parent folder that is not a git repo on purpose, with nested repos inside (project_client, project_api).
in the normal cursor window, source control picks up both nested repos and shows changes as expected. in the agents tab (cursor 3.0), the scm panel stays empty and only offers “initialize repository”, as if nothing were under git…
even though those nested .git folders are right there on disk and work fine outside agents.
so it looks like the agents ui isn’t using the same git/workspace binding as the main editor: nested repositories don’t appear at all. i’m not trying to create a new repo at the parent level, i just expect agents to reflect the same nested repos and diffs i already see in the main window.
