Cursor agent fails in renamed GH org without ability to reset/recoonect

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Background Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

Cursor was linked to GitHub organizartion and repository. The organization in question was renamed. Now Cursor fails to start agents against the repos in the renamed repository. Cursor App in Github was removed, connection in Cursor was removed and re-authorized.

We get “Internal Error” on any attempt to start Cursor agent in the repos.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create GitHub org and repo,
  2. Link Cursor to said repo and create a an environment.json with a snapshot,
  3. Rename the org,
  4. Try running the agent again.

Expected Behavior

Cursor drops whatever caches it has and asks for re-authentication, or,
Cursor updates the names/refs of org/repo in case the name changed.

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Irrelevant, this happens in the Desktop app and Web Agent Dashboard as well.
