Hey @vibeprompter, thanks for the report!
Your synced personal skills do get loaded when the automation runs, as long as the automation is set to “Run as you”. What’s missing is the autocomplete: the / menu in the automation editor only lists your personal skills once the automation has a repository selected, and the desktop Automations editor doesn’t list them at all yet. I’ve flagged this to the team.
In the meantime, either of these should work:
- Type the skill name into the instructions yourself (for example
/sentry-jira-triage, or “use the sentry-jira-triage skill”), even if it doesn’t autocomplete. The agent can still find it at run time. - Edit the automation on cursor.com, select a repository for it, then type
/in the instructions. Your personal skills should show up in the list.
One caveat: automations set to “Run as service account” can’t use personal skills. For those, put the skill in the repo under .cursor/skills/ or in a team plugin.
If option 1 doesn’t pick up the skill on the next run, could you reply with whether you edited the automation on the web or in the desktop app, plus the run’s link from the automation’s run history?
