This is a known issue our team is actively working on. The flicker kicks in while the agent is streaming a response and the chat is pinned to the very bottom of the transcript.

The reliable workaround for now: while the agent is working, scroll up slightly in the chat so the view isn’t stuck at the very bottom. That stops the flickering, and you can scroll back down once the response finishes.

I have the same issue in Ubuntu 22.04

yeah, I did rollback to previous version meanwhile.

Yeah, me too. This is an embarrassing issue. Lots of bugs for an expensive product.

hey @hkim02, this is a tracked issue that the team is aware of and working for a fix, I have already share with them your report so that it can help them ship a fix sooner hopefuly, sorry for the trouble

Thanks for the extra reports, everyone, and sorry for the disruption. Confirming this is the same known issue, and it isn’t tied to a specific OS or display setup.

It kicks in while the agent is streaming and the chat is pinned to the very bottom of the transcript. Two workarounds reliably stop it, no downgrade needed:

  1. While the agent is working, scroll up slightly so the view isn’t stuck at the very bottom, then scroll back down once the response finishes.
  2. If that doesn’t do it, nudging the chat panel/window width (resize it a little) also clears it for some folks.

Our team is actively working on a fix. It isn’t in the latest stable build yet, so updating alone won’t resolve it right now. I’ll update this thread once the fix ships.

Anyone knows what is the timeline for fixing this bug? It’s awfully annoying.

+1 this is super annoying and cross platform on linux/osx.

No fix yet? I’ve been getting this annoying bug for so long.

Sorry, this has been causing trouble for a while. Until it lands, these two still stop the flicker for most people:

  1. While the agent is streaming, scroll up slightly so the chat isn’t pinned to the very bottom, then scroll back down when it finishes.
  2. If that doesn’t do it, nudge the chat panel width a little.

I’ll update this thread as soon as the fix ships.

I’m really annoyed with this issue. Common. Almost a month now.
