Cursor cli mcp config not work

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor CLI

Describe the Bug

The MCP configuration of cursor cli does not work. When I execute the “cursor-agent mcp list” command, it always show “No MCP servers configured (expected in .cursor/mcp.json or ~/.cursor/mcp.json)”, but I have already configured it in ~/.cursor/mcp.json

Steps to Reproduce

  1. write some mcp config in ~/.cursor/mcp.json
  2. execute command “cursor-agent mcp list”
  3. get the outout: “No MCP servers configured (expected in .cursor/mcp.json or ~/.cursor/mcp.json)”
