Cursor-commits extension "Reload Window" always

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

In v2.3.10 (after upgrading from latest v2.2.x) “cursor-commits” extension “Reload Window” always displayed with a permanent “1” icon displayed in toolbar indicating that Cursor IDE needs a reload/restart, but nothing stops this notification from being displayed. The extension can not bot uninstalled or disabled and even more confusingly, there is a bunch of references to “VS Code” in this extension. Feels like a half-baked extension/release.

Steps to Reproduce

Upgrade to Cursor v2.3.10

Expected Behavior

Do not display the notification icon/fix your extension!

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. I see the issue with the persistent notification from the cursor-commits extension after updating to v2.3.10.

This looks like a new bug. I’ll pass it to the team to fix. For now, if the notification is too annoying, you can temporarily roll back to v2.2.x (Help > Update Access) or just ignore the badge. As you noted, it doesn’t affect how Cursor works.

@deanrie - this is still broken in v2.3.21. Any ideas on when we can expect a fix here? Thanks.

+1 on latest version as OP says

hi folks. looking into this!

FYI. This now looks to be fixed in v2.3.23. Thank you!
