Cursor connection problem with agent.api5.cursor.sh

Having exactly the same problem here today. Started suddenly and have been unable to use anything for hours.

Hey, thanks for the report. The getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND agent.api5.cursor.sh error means there’s a DNS resolution issue. This is a known problem caused by a misconfigured SSL setup on the Cloudflare CDN.

For now, please try:

  • Change your DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1) or Quad9 (149.112.112.112) in your network settings. Google DNS 8.8.8.8 can route to an incorrect Cloudflare CDN IP.
  • Toggle your VPN on or off. In the Jan 8 thread, this fixed it for some users.
  • Try a different network, like a mobile hotspot.
  • In Cursor, go to Settings > Network and switch from HTTP/2 to HTTP/1.1 or HTTP/1.0.

Interestingly the issue went away after I disabled Apple’s Private Relay
