Opened up cursor, previously when I had it last opened I was on a chat with alot of history. Closed the application, load it back up, now It automatically opens up a new chat, cool, I go to load back my previous composer, doesnt even load. It says loading chat, then just goes back to the new chat. Any fixes/suggestions as for what to do here?
someone please help. It just happened again, keeps on happening.
It’s really disappointing that this issue still hasn’t been resolved to this day. Losing the entire history of a previous chat when reopening Cursor is incredibly frustrating. Even after closing and reopening the app, the problem persists: the previous chat doesn’t load—it just opens a new one. I’ve tried multiple times and always get the same “loading chat” message, only to be redirected back to a new chat again.
I still have the same problem, how do I avoid it? I write and consult with GPT and then restore the history from there! This is very annoying! I think it’s a program bug. It also often happens that it crashes out of the account, perhaps the system after logging in does not allow you to view the history, thinking that you were in another account.
Happened to me as well today… Please, guys, give us some more information on why this happens… In my case, it is for a specific workspace, not for all of them
By default it seems to open new chat when you start it “forcing” you yo dig to find history.
I know CLI history doesn’t work very much… Beyond that I advise to ask always to make a .md file of changes with timestamps.
Hope it helps…
