Thank you for reporting this with the request ID and screenshot. This is a known issue where the agent can occasionally make edits while in Plan mode instead of restricting itself to planning only. Our team is aware of this and investigating.
In the meantime, a few workarounds that may help:

Start a fresh chat when entering Plan mode, especially if you’ve been in a longer conversation. The mode constraint is more reliable at the start of a new session.

Use explicit plan-oriented phrasing like “update the plan to include X” rather than general action language, which can help reinforce the boundary.

The plan mode editing issue has been fixed in a recent Cursor update. Updating to the latest version should resolve this. If you’re still experiencing this on the latest version of Cursor, please raise a new thread and we’ll take a look.
