Describe the Bug

when i use figma mcp with cursor, cursor cannot read the figma link and shows error [ We’re having trouble finding the resource you requested. If the problem persists, please contact support ] so i turn off composer model toggle in settings menu and then it worked.

Steps to Reproduce

activate Figma local MCP server → enter a Figma link in chat pane → Cursor cannot get Figma design

Hey, this is a known issue. The Composer model doesn’t handle responses from MCP servers correctly, including the Figma MCP. There’s a similar thread with the same behavior: Composer 1.5 cannot see full response from Figma official MCP

You already found the right workaround, turn off the Composer model. For Figma MCP tasks, it’s better to use Claude Sonnet 4.6, Opus 4.6, or GPT 5.3 Codex. MCP works fine with those.
