Cursor freezing frequently for a few seconds

Describe the Bug

Every 30s-1min Cursor freezes for 4-5 seconds, this is becoming very frustrating.
In the developer tools console, every time it freezes, I see this error:
ERR [ProcessMemoryMonitor] Error getting process memory usage: Error: Process list request timed out
at workbench.desktop.main.js:7431:23413

Things I’ve tried:

  • run with cursor --disable-extentions
  • run in admin mode
  • uninstall and reinstall cursor
  • tried on multiple projects, happens everywhere

Steps to Reproduce

Open cursor on any project on windows 11

Can you please update to the latest version (1.4.5) and see if the issue persists? The team has shipped a few performance improvements.
