Cursor gets stuck on 'generate', even after switching models and restarting

Whenever I try to generate something, it just gets stuck on “generate” and never responds. I’ve tried different models and restarted the app, but nothing works. I haven’t tried reinstalling yet because I don’t want to lose my chats, but I will if that’s the only option. Not sure how to proceed—any help would be appreciated.

not sure what to do to help you, but what about logout & login, that way the chats still in there

Having the same issue - cursor is currently in a state that is completely useless as a result.
