Cursor giving 2 replies to one single query

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Somewhere else…

Describe the Bug

I am now constantly getting two replies to my same query.

When using the Agent mode, an agent is created also in the Agents tab, and the chat replies twice. I tried archiving the agents, but then my chats dissapeared and I have lost all the chats of today. And, even when I create a new chat, it directly creates an agent and at some point gives me the two replies…

Steps to Reproduce

Ask something with context and ask for something that will require changes in files.

Expected Behavior

it will reply twice with very similar replies (but different)

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, while I do see the similarity in it’s replies, it does look like this is a before and after of that file edit, and not a duplicate response to the same query.

Can you try to start a new thread with the model, and see if this change in behaviour happens again?

it’s been happening in multiple threads and chats I’ve been having… I’ll try to share another example when I get it… thanks

So, here is another example. It does “read” the file 2 times…
Feels like a repetition of tasks…

Actually here is a much better example of what I am talking about. Cursor explains twice my question, while making the changes right in the middle. It is not a big deal, but it is annoying to have the two there. I am guessing one is the agent to make the change, while the second one is the main conductor/agent?
