Cursor has become unusable and unreliable

Recently, Cursor has become so unreliable in its output it has become nearly unusable.
Please dont tell me to use new chats for new tasks, or to use hooks, or rules.
Or plan in small steps using composer and then execute the plan in auto/Grok. None of that works.

It’s just no longer able to understand basic instructions and keeps introducing more bugs than it fixes.
Even in its summaries , it mentions different parts of the code , or different features. Overall it’s just lacking basic understanding of what Im talking about.
It will suggest downright stupid solutions that arent solutions at all. It will try to fix things but mess it up even further, apoligize and acknowledge what it did wrong and then make the same mistakes.
over and over again..
Im seriously considering cancelling my subscription at this point because it needs so much hand holding and so much trial and error and every edit leaves me wondering what else it broke.

Hey @WoutTengrootenhuysen, thanks for the honest feedback, and sorry it has been this frustrating!

To actually look into what is happening on your side, I need a couple of specifics: which model you are using (or Auto), and a Request ID from one or two of the chats where it went wrong. In the chat, click the … menu at the top right, then Copy Request ID, and paste it here.

If you can also describe one concrete example, what you asked for versus what it did, that helps us check whether the model actually behaved differently or whether something else is going on!
