When writing code, the size of the cursor’s auto-prompt box is very small, which makes it impossible to see the entire prompt code. How to fix it
Hey, check if there’s a setting called editor.padding.top
. If it’s there, remove it. That should help.
Thanks for your help, I find the setting, but it must have a value here. I reset it to defalut was 0, the problem still exist.
Is this happening in the ipynb file?
Yes, it is!
Yes, I’m in the same situation.
It still happens to me; I am using ipynb as well. Instantly regret renewing my subscription.
We’re aware of this issue and hope to have it fixed soon.
That would be much appreciated . Otherwise, Cursor becomes unusable.
It happened not only in ipynb but in all my files . I have tried to fix it in the past few weeks but have made no progress. It is the killer function of the cursor, and I think many people reported it a month ago. It would be very helpful if could be fixed!
To those who are still suffering from this problem. Maybe the simplest way we can do now is rolling back to an old version. I have found an old version (0.39.x) and it works for me. Hope the issue will be fixed soon.
Update: The auto-update cannot be disabled, it will always try to update your cursor and you can do nothing! It’s very annoying, and sadly maybe waiting for the fix is the only way.
This is not fixed in the latest release Any change this will be fixed soon?
Any updates on this? The latest release did not fix it and I am paying the full subscription
You’re not alone. I paid for a year before. Still have this problem in new version now
Gosh, I don’t know when it will be fixed. Have suffered from it for more than a month! I have to guess what is shown in the hint box LOL.
Hi, have you tried the hint in the jupyter notebook? Unfortunately, 43.5 still doesn’t work for me.
Actually no … it still broken
Hi Deanrie, I think it has been a while since the issue was noticed. Has the cause of the bug been found out? Thanks
same pb here. A real pain. Makes Cursor painful, instead of joyful.
Hi everyone, I may have found a solution that is not very elegant but useful. However, before the issue is completely fixed, you have to abandon some features in the newer version. Here are the instructions:
1)Disconnect the internet and downgrade the software (like I mentioned before) to avoid the auto-update.
2) Find the file of the cursor and move it to another place.( How to turn off auto update? - Discussion - Cursor - Community Forum)
3) You can now reconnect the internet, open the .exe from the file, and enjoy the not-so-new but not-so-painful version.
BTW: If your jupyter cannot find the kernel, just find ‘Python: install jupyter extension’
Hope it helps
