Hi everyone, I may have found a solution that is not very elegant but useful. However, before the issue is completely fixed, you have to abandon some features in the newer version. Here are the instructions:
1)Disconnect the internet and downgrade the software (like I mentioned before) to avoid the auto-update.
2) Find the file of the cursor and move it to another place.( How to turn off auto update? - Discussion - Cursor - Community Forum)
3) You can now reconnect the internet, open the .exe from the file, and enjoy the not-so-new but not-so-painful version.
BTW: If your jupyter cannot find the kernel, just find ‘Python: install jupyter extension’
