In recent days, I’ve noticed that oftentimes when I stop a chat and send a prompt, Cursor is completely ignoring the new instructions and mindlessly continues whatever it was doing prior to stopping it. This is something that’s started happening this or last week.
Steps to Reproduce
Start a chat and let Cursor start doing its thing, stop it, and send a new prompt to make it do something else than it was doing prior to stopping.
Expected Behavior
Cursor follows all new instructions like before.
Operating System
MacOS
Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)
Seeing the same thing here - It gets stuck after it trys and run a command - give new instructions - doesn’t see them and just trys to redo last task it was doing. Just started happening today - used cursor for 10ish hours yesterday and when i started this AM it was instantly noticeable. Upgraded from 1.0 to 1.13 to see if it would resolve - and nope. same thing.
Once the chat gets too long it doenst respond to me anymore. the way i work around this, is to open a new chat and export the old chat. Then use the old chat as a reference. but you also have to open the old chat file in a curosr tab…
