Cursor is basically not usuable, constant crashes, severe lag when trying to type… Any way to fix this?
Same issue here! Claude 3.5 Sonnet’s been acting up - even Claude 3.7 Sonnet’s been totally down for days.
Cursor is 100% unusable for past 3 days. Now @ version 0.46.8 (Silicon Mac). Why break something that was working properly earlier? Claude is worse now. Even GPT-40 hallucinates and wanders in cursor. Moving to copilot for some days till you fix. will keep checking the forum.
2 days time, more than 100 credits resulted in no productivity, only made me tired.
Are we sure this isn’t a system prompt issue? I’m seeing the same failures on Claude 3.5 and 3.7, and if you’re experiencing it with GPT-4o, that suggests it’s not a model-specific problem. If all models are failing in the same way, it’s likely something Cursor is injecting ahead of each prompt that’s confusing or breaking outputs.
Cursor has pushed a lot of updates recently—could changes to the system prompt be interfering? It seems like the most consistent explanation. I’m 70 outputs into my 500 credit reset, and maybe one or two have been usable. At this point even context fails most of the time around my files suggesting that either system prompt is poisoning the output before model ingestion, or the context window has become dynamic and is shorter on some requests than others capping how much context it can access.
i tried all models and each time it crashes
