Cursor may occasionally delete files without permission. It happens sometimes when I was using claude-4.5-haiku model.

Steps to Reproduce

It happens occasionally.

Operating System

MacOS

Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: 1.7.52 (Universal)
VSCode Version: 1.99.3
Commit: 9675251a06b1314d50ff34b0cbe5109b78f848c0

For AI issues: which model did you use?

Hey, thanks for the report. I’m sorry the files were deleted unexpectedly.

Please enable “File-deletion protection”:
- Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + J → go to the Chat tab → under Auto-Run, enable the setting

Important: always use version control Git when working with AI tools so you can revert unwanted changes.
