Cursor nightly version doesn't respect the custom Antropic Key

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Last night, I switched to the nightly version to use Skills support. What I noticed was that the Cursor nightly version does not respect or use the custom key. I realised it wasn’t using my own custom key when I started seeing messages saying I had exceeded the usage limit. Now I keep getting pop-ups stating that I’ve hit the usage limit which is another problem.

I then switched back to the Default channel and installed the stable version, which started working again, but this time I lost Skills support.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Cursor Settings
Select Beta
Set your update channel to Nightly
Restart to update
Start a new chat

Expected Behavior

Cursor should respect my custom Antropic key and use it instead of using the plan

Hey @abdullahc !

Thanks for the report. We had already received a report that custom OpenAI Base URLs weren’t working, and it looks like the issue is broader than that. I’ve updated the ticket we have internally to track this (its high priority).
