Cursor not indexing any code for chat with codebase

Using newest version of Cursor on a legacy codebase, and the only the file it’s indexing is a README. No .gitignore, nothing in .cursorigonore, all the “use ignore file” settings are disabled.

This used to work, but haven’t tried it in a few weeks or the latest version. Did something change recently that affects how indexing works?

Could you try the following:

  1. Run git ls-files | wc -l
  2. DM me your username/email used for Cursor

Will investigate why this is breaking for you, but I have a suspicion as to why.

Hi, that command shows 4117 files.

How do I actually DM you here? I did also send an email to hi@ from my email address if that helps.
