Cursor Not Using Premium AI Models

Hey, I’ve been running into this issue since yesterday. I use the Claude 3.7-Sonnet model and some other AI models, but it seems like Cursor isn’t pulling from the Premium models. Instead, it’s using the free ones, like gpt-4o-mini, which I can see in the Usage section of the Settings page. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hey, this could just be a delay in our database catching up with the requests you are doing.

Can you make sure you have privacy mode turned off, and try just say hello to the AI, and send the request ID over?

I have the same problem. My id is 9a5221de-e936-44d4-9709-9c74ebf6672c

@danperks @deanrie

I have the same problem.

I have the exact same problem, so I am following this thread. I only subscribed to Premium today, so bit of a let-down to have this issue if it is really using the non-premium models. I made some significant changes to my codebase with those smaller models too, so hopefully they were not too trash with the output lol

I have the exact same problem and it takes about 2 minutes to generate the response.

The same

I have the same problem. In fact, the exact start date of this problem was 04.04.2025. Even though I have premium request rights during the day, all my requests go from mini and it really uses the mini model. Because that’s how the answers come. (It says I’m chatgpt)

Note: Let me give you some information that might help. If I choose Pro models, the price is reflected and it uses the model. If I choose Sonnet 3.7 and think, it uses it at that time, but if I choose Claude 3.7 or 3.5, I have this problem.
