I’ve noticed a change to cursor’s behavior this past week. I used to get really frustrated that it would jump into coding when it wasn’t supposed to, so I added a ton of instructions about creating detailed plans and waiting for user confirmation before implementing.
I have a process with it where we write detailed instructions in a project management document before implementation.
But in the past week, it’s now planning literally everything even when I tell it to just implement. Every time I ask it for something, it spends 30-90 seconds planning, even when we’ve just spent 15 minutes writing out a detailed implementation plan.
Any ideas what’s going on?
