This issue still exists. Fcitx5 does not work in any AI input pane.
Has anyone else come across the same issue?
Right now, I have to type Chinese characters in another app, then copy and paste them into the chat pane.

Wow, interesting. I recently found a temp solution for this issue. If I typed anything else not using fcitx5 input method, a English character or even a space, and then switch to fcitx5 to input Chinese words, that will work.
