Cursor v1.2 - Release Discussions

Yeah, please remove the scrollbar from thinking.

Yes that is preparation for public release. Post here if you got any issues.

Yes there is a PR related feature. Can be set in settings.

Yeah, but is the git popup I posted somehow related to Cursor context scraping, or just some git stuff from VScode/extensions?

Good question, will forward

A little follow up.
If one want’s to install Cursor from brew he’ll also get 1.2 as
brew is checking this link for updates https://api2.cursor.sh/updates/api/update/darwin-arm64/cursor/0.0.0/
and it returns

{"url":"https://downloads.cursor.com/production/eb5fa4768da0747b79dc34f0b79ab20dbf58202c/darwin/arm64/Cursor-darwin-arm64.zip","name":"1.2.0"}

@troutgoingupstream great, thanks for the heads up, good to know but should be fine.

 There are a few things in this 1.20

@thepKz yes you found a new feature! Agent Sidebar

The other part is Queue
^Qwert posted it.

However there is more haha

it is not related to PR indexing, it is vscode thing for the ‘git’ tab

I saw the agent sidebar already but since I don’t use agents, I thought it’s an old feature. ;p

From other stuff, Gemini tool call issues are still with us even in 1.2.

It’s a model issue, don’t use it for agents. Perfect for planning, large context.

We’ve got this fancy tooltip when AI invokes some memory.

Although why Cursor added new unrelated content as “Additionally” rather than creating a separate memory is beyond me.

And of course I’m absolutely right, I always am. Keep reminding me that, please.

Bug: Can’t select any other model in Cmd-K

Feature request: Please remove the scrollbar restricting overview in mode selection (more then 2 custom modes) - breaks the flow!

@leoing thank you for the details, could you check if Cursor Settings > Models has more models on your device? Is any API key active?

Thanks, yes added your case to list above.

One of the biggest issues ive had recently is the agents (claude 4 and google gemini) not detecting their own changes. If im distracteed they may overwrite their own file up to 4 times or more. whatever function is in charge of notifying them about thefile change is failing, has this been fixed or improve in the latest update?
