At first, I was happy and excited it seemed like all the freezing issues were finally solved.
There were also a few improvements I really liked, especially the ability to always see my balance and how much I’m using.

But now I see that the fix was only partial.
After a few minutes of use, all the black screen and freezing issues come back.
I can always restart, and then it works fine again — but only for a few minutes.

I’m talking about that constant lag everything slows down, I can’t type properly, can’t scroll with the mouse, and all the issues that have already been mentioned here several times.

Hello. And how do I enable the function so that tabs open when Cursor makes changes?

i believe in chat you can type / and then open tabs or something like that

Another very annoying bug:
Every time I switch to a different chat tab now, it jumps back to the top of the conversation.

Now, I wish there were arrow buttons to jump to the top and bottom —
but not like this, where it happens every time and I have to manually scroll all the way down.

  1. v1.4.1 Pane missing icon, v1.3.9 work very fine
  2. And CodeViz.codeviz fatal error in v1.4.1

That’s not true. I’m on early access and I’m still on 1.3.9 (Windows 10), without an option to update to 1.4

same, I added beta to get the last version’s fixes not I can’t get the fun!

This seems to have to do with vscode-ripgrep not being found. This is also affecting other extensions like Todo-Tree

1.4.1 STILL gets stuck in the terminal…

In a New chat (pasting the latest Stagewise upgrade prompt to remove their packages), I had to hit ‘skip’ 8 times before it continued!

This is been a present issue since 1.1.x - I’ve removed ZSH completely, and using Bash seemed to solve the ‘q’ error, but now it’s getting stuck again.

Cursor is the only product I use that terrifies me everytime they push an update.

We’re looking into this. Sorry about it. We did push memory/performance improvements but there is more to go.

My humble suggestion. Only release updates every 3-6 months.
As users we do not care if you release more features. We have it working now or atleast had a stable version few updates ago.

with new updates without proper testing things are breaking.
Maybe focus on developing your own model and leave the working things alone?

Cursor is full of bugs. Keep the release train going.

Can you please provide detailed release notes available as soon as the release is available? This is important for individuals and crucial for organisations.
