Hey, thanks for the report.
This is a known issue, and the team is working on a fix. A similar bug was reported recently: Agent ignoring stop button and calls to stop in the chat
Workarounds for now:
- Close the terminal manually (trash icon in the terminal panel)
- Restart Cursor if the agent stops responding completely
- As a last resort, close the chat tab and start a new one
To help the team fix this faster, could you share:
- The Request ID next time this happens (top-right chat menu > Copy Request ID)
- A short video or a detailed description of what the agent was doing when it refused to stop
- Whether you were using Planning mode or the regular agent
