Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?
Cursor IDE
Describe the Bug
I used to see the Cycle Thinking feauture in the model dropdown, marked by an edit button, where you can enable/disable thinking or modify between low, medium, high, and max. However, now it is gone, it used to be there in the model dropdown itself (GUI and cmd+shift+/).
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Cursor
- Go to Model Dropdown
- Try to find it (you will not)
Expected Behavior
You should be able to cycle thinkking through an edit button and icon when a certain model is hovered in the model dropdown. I don’t know if this was removed in 3.0, but it was really useful, or if it just stopped working (bug.) PLEASE FIX IT OR BRING IT BACK. PLEASE ![]()

For AI issues: which model did you use?
All, specifically Sonnet 4.6
Additional Information
Also, Sonnet 4.6 High and Max are not even avalible. I thought you might have replaced it back to manually selecting every reasoning level of the model in settings, but then Sonnet 4.6 only the medium variant was avalible, what happened to low, high, and max. This is very dissatisfying as I used to use Sonnet 4.6 High primarily.
Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
