.deb alongside of appimages for linux?

I think most people would LOVE to have a .deb file which we can install, this just makes everything so much easier and would enable many peoples workflows to not worsen.

Hey, we are looking at better ways to install Cursor on Linux at the moment. I have nothing to report right now, unfortunately!

Rest assured this is being looked at though.

A flatpak, either through Flathub or your own remote would also be a good option, but I’m fine with just a .deb and/or your own apt repo.
The app image is just annoying with automated system setup.

It would be very nice if there was a package to be pre-installed like Visual Studio Code.

Not only that.. I get very frustrated with the AppImage. I’m already running it outside of the sandbox. But the app is still running in the foreground when I start it from the terminal. Even trying to create a desktop file or a alias for it also with nohup..

Its all not well designed at all. Please, just like Windsurf just release a deb file / deb repository asap!
