Deepseek-r1 model unavailable for Composer?

I read this: R1 model is amazing

It’s not clear if they use that model in chats or composer.

But I get

Is the only way to use Deepseek-r1 with Composer to modify the CursorAI source code and how difficult is that going to be?

I have a comp sci background and planning to start after writing this but if you can provide some general guidelines, that would be great.

which branch is the latest that I can check out to try to refactor so I can use Deepseek-r1 with Composer?

Hey, the DeepSeek R1 model works in Composer only in normal mode for now.

I can’t specify exactly when this will be implemented, but our team is actively working on it.
