Hey, thanks for the feature request.
Right now DeepSeek isn’t available as a native model, but you can use it today via BYOK: Settings → Models, add a custom OpenAI-compatible model with your DeepSeek API key and Override Base URL. In agent mode the performance will be weaker than with natively supported models, but for chat it works fine.
One Windows note: there’s currently an open issue where the BYOK fields (API Key / Override Base URL) on Windows may not accept input in 3.15.6, see this thread https://forum.cursor.com/t/regression-models-openai-api-key-base-url-inputs-not-editable-in-3-15-6-ok-in-3-14-27. If you hit it, the details are there.
