Dev Containers (`anysphere.remote-containers`) 1.0.2 broken: "attach to running container" missing

I instaled anysphere.remote-containers and I don’t have the “attach to running container” option (see atached screenshot). I only have two extensions installed:

  • anysphere.remote-wsl 1.0.0
  • anysphere.remote-containers 1.0.2

Clicking on “Dev Container” installs the MS Dev Container extension (which also doesn’t work) and disables the Remote Anywhere one.

Hi! Our extension does have the “Attach to Running Container” command. It’s under the command palette (cmd/ctrl shift p → Attach to Running Container) – attaching a screenshot.

The next update will have these commands in that “Open a Remote Window” explorer, thanks for bringing this up!

Please double check that the Anysphere extension is enabled, the Microsoft extension is disabled / uninstalled. You might also have to full close and reopen Cursor – sometimes the editor needs a full reboot for extension changes to take effect.

Hi! We released version 1.0.3 of the Anysphere Dev Containers extension, which has the “Attach to Running Container” in the new remote connection selector:
