Different background color for user prompts

Feature request for product/service

Cursor Web

Describe the request

This applies to Cursor Web, Cursor IDE, Cursor Agents, most Cursor UIs, I’d say.

The problem I find is that with the current color palette it is not easy to separate what I wrote from what the model responded (especially when scrolling), which makes it hard to tell where one exchange ends and the next begins. When I need to go back to a previous response, I usually find myself scrolling very slowly in order to find the section I am looking for.

So far, in the interfaces I have worked with, everything in the user/agent chat uses almost the same font, size, and color: white text on a black background.

It would be nice to have a different background color for the user prompt box. Currently it is slightly less darker than the agent’s background, but almost unnoticeable in my opinion. I’d suggest just making it dark gray.

I attach a Screenshot of a cursor.com/agents session to illustrate the problem. The conversation is in Spanish (my native language), but that is irrelevant in this case. I just want to point out how difficult it is to separate my prompt (outlined in blue) from the rest.

I think it is an easy fix, and it would make my coding experience (and probably others’ too) way smoother.

A few color options that I think could work, in rgb:
(45,45,48)
(55,55,58)
(42,45,54)

Thanks!
Ismael
