in order to get the most from cursor ai, do i have to subscribe to cursor ai and also claude? if so, how does cursor ai know how to use my claude subscription

No, you need to register an account from the main page of cursor.com and use the Claude model within Cursor. Your Claude account is only for chatting on the claude.ai website.
