Ending up free claude-3.5-sonnet requests

Hello, everyone. I am experiencing the following issue – after I had made 50 requests in Cursor embedded application, I have received the message (notification as a widget – sadly I can’t embed screenshot here, so I am explaining it verbally) which informed me that I have used up 50 free claude-3.5-sonnet requests and now I have 2 options (as far as I understood):

  1. use claude-3.5-sonnet and upgrade to pro – this one is about paid version of claude for further usage (extended functionalities and benefits),

  2. switch to Cursor small – this one is about free version of Cursor itself (with limited features comparing to first one).

So, when I choose first option, I got redirected to pricing page of Cursor web site , where I can find 2 paid version of Cursor and one version for free (hobby as free package, and other 2 paid packages),

In case I choose second option (I mean I literally push this part of notification vidget), there is no any results of switching to Cursor small version – no reaction at all.

So, now I have 2 major questions:

  1. Talking about 50 free claude-3.5-sonnet requests – I am just curious are those request reserved for every month or they are gone forever? (I mean there is no way for me to make again next monthly 50 free claude-3.5-sonnet requests).

  2. Talking about my further action with Cursor – could you please explain to me how I can use Cursor in its free available version. In other words, how I can switch to this version seamlessly? Because currently I am confused and can’t understand how to do it correctly (step-by-step).

Thank you in advance for understanding my certain situation.

And believe me – I was not conscious beforehand that there are some limitations of free requests for Cursor application, otherwise I would have used these requests more thoroughly.

I really need to use Cursor application currently because I have couple of urgent complex task, and your assistance will be critically important to me.

I can’t remember free plan well, because I am on Pro.
Free gives you 50 free slow premium requests and (maybe, not sure about now) like 200 free cursor-small requests or something per month. You can check in Settings | Cursor - The AI Code Editor

My advice? If you find the tool useful and expect to actually use “AI” features, then consider subscribing for $20 p/m for 500 fast requests (premium requests), and “unlimited” slow premium requests.
I’m not sales, I’ll let Cursor mods chime in

Hey, our free tier (excluding the trials) does not renew monthly, so if you have run out of both Claude and cursor-small requests, you will have to purchase Pro to keep using the features!
