[Feature Request] Option to switch to long-context mode when Long-file is initiated

I’d like to switch to Long Context mode through "CMD+. " during a conversation (when the Long-File is initiated) to keep full context. Is it possible to implement this

Also vice versa, if you’re a few questions in and gathered enough context continue with normal 20k context for further analysis to save a few of the 10 precious long context prompts a day.

This would be very useful! Starting with Normal Chat, and if the context is not sufficient, switching to Long Chat, this would be wonderful for my use case (large codebase)!
