Figure out the dumb stuff first

I open my project in Cursor, I ask both Chat and Composer git status and it gives me a BS answer I couldn’t care less about.

Make a functioning terminal that is smart enough to know the difference between regular terminal commands and help commands. I don’t want to switch tabs every 4 seconds or use my mouse very much.

I’ve literally used your app for 4 seconds (again), I tried it months ago, and this isn’t solved.

Think about dumb smart guys with high expectations for your product, not just what a model can vomit at the screen. Build a user experience, think about how someone brand new, who is a real developer, and how you can save them time. What they will expect of your product when they first commit to trying it. If you waste somebody’s time who is brand new, you don’t have a customer, impress them the first day.

If you can think how a developer thinks and optimize that, then you can switch to how a product manager thinks and build something for them too. If you leave both with a map to nowhere, you don’t have a product.

Think of these as words of encouragement, I’m deliberately being hard on you, keep up the good work and be proud of what you’ve done so far.

ctrl-` to open terminal
git status

Perhaps you should spend more than 4 seconds?
(I’m a cursor noob myself, but spent 2 hours reading up on a few things)

Thanks for the tutorial, learn about product.

Oddly enough, when I open a cursor prompt and type “git status” it looks like this:

Looks like it works just fine. FWIW I spent no more than 10 minutes reading docs and it works beautifully for me.
