Does this only happen in one project? Also, keep in mind that certain extensions, like linters, might slow down your editor. Try disabling extensions temporarily to pinpoint the issue.
This happens in all my projects lately, and I have very few extensions installed.
I just created an empty project, literally 0 files inside. Trying to create a new file and Im getting the same thing.
It took ~1 minute to create 1 empty file on an empty directory. Cursor has been basically unusable since latest update

I started to encounter the same issue. Renaming/copy/paste etc operations take a lot of time.
