Describe the Bug
Ever since Cursor has existed, for over a year it is impossible to reference a file or folder with consistency. Files and directories that are clearly in the workspace are randomly vanished and non-existent to the @ menu. They should be registered instantly, with no delay, a perfect mirror with the disk. It is even crazier to discover that in many cases the classes and symbols of those files will be discovered and accessible, but the corresponding filesystem nodes are not. This is an extremely huge frustration point and I would really rather this be fixed once and for all before any additional feature is implemented.
Steps to Reproduce
I have no idea, it happens randomly. The entire provider logic should be reviewed and it shouldn’t be hard to see how things could go wrong. Considering that this should be a perfect mirror, and it clearly isn’t, it shouldn’t be hard to occam’s razor your way to any possible crazy code involved in this bug.
Expected Behavior
Perfect 100% mirror with disk files, stress and frustration free.

Does this stop you from using Cursor
Sometimes - I can sometimes use Cursor [it completely breaks the flow state - I literally don’t know how to reference the code I need to and need to figure out something on then fly like copy pasting or asking the model to grep around]
