Forum badge granting process

I confess that I like a bit of gamification, and I’m pleased to have accumulated a fair number of badges on the forum. There are a couple that I think I should have, though, which haven’t been awarded.

Is badge granting fully automated, or is it a matter of one of the mods getting a notification that a user is eligible to be granted one and pressing a button?

@rsb We look at granting badges periodically a couple of times a week!
Feel free to mention any posts here you want to highlight and I’ll take a look

Hey Kevin, I think I’m eligible for ‘Reader’, and I’m also fairly sure that I’ve visited the forum every day for the last 100 days, so ‘Aficionado’ (do you have a way to check my record?)

All very silly requests in the scheme of things, but I appreciate your response!

Also, how does one go about becoming a Cursor Ambassador?

All good! I think I only have the ability to grant badges on particular posts, .e.g ones that you desrve the “docs” badge or the “background agent” badge or the solved one on individual posts. You can see your full list of badges here: Profile - rsb - Cursor - Community Forum and then if you want to see the badges that are available you can go here: Cursor - Community Forum

Thanks for the your interest in the ambassador program! You can read more and apply here: Cursor · Ambassadors My best advice is just to act like an ambassador before you’re an ambassador. So if you’re helping people out, posting on socials, going above and beyond - those are all qualities of ambassadors - so if you’re doing that before you’re in the program that will be looking on favorably.

Thanks, @kevinn ! Really useful info. I’m better at building than I am at social media (adding another feature is always enticing!), but we’re about to kick off a proper presence on our socials, and will tag Cursor / Anysphere when it makes sense to do so. Also hope to make it to a meet up at some point.
