Gemini 2.5 Pro with Google API Key – not thinking?

Hi, I just switched to gemini-2.5-pro MAX with my own Google API key and thinking enabled in agent mode. However, when I used it without my Google API key, it always showed me long thoughts. Now I am not getting these anymore.

My questions:

  1. Is it not thinking when using the own API key, or are the thoughts just not shown?
  2. Are there any other disadvantages when using the own API key in agent mode?
  3. Is the context window the same (1 Mio)?
