Describe the Bug
Gemini’s model sometimes doesn’t apply the changes automatically, and it is necessary to click on “Apply to …”. Auto-apply edits and Auto-run are enable.
I’ve noticed that this issue is also more likely to happen when switching between different models within the same conversation. For example, you might start with Claude 4 and then suddenly switch to Gemini, and it may simply fail to apply the changes automatically. In most cases (around 90%), starting a new chat fixes it, but not always — occasionally, it even requires restarting Cursor.
Steps to Reproduce
Just using any gemini’s model. I can’t just reproduce this bug on demand — it happens randomly.
Expected Behavior
Apply automatically the changes in the code.

Additional Information
This bug has been happening since the day Gemini became available in Cursor, before version 1.0 (I think). I don’t know if this happens with other models too (maybe GPT), but I’ve never seen it with Claude.
I’ll add the request ID as soon as it happens again. My privacy mode is already disabled.
Does this stop you from using Cursor
No - Cursor works, but with this issue
