I’m the founder of GetMattered, a job search tool, and its MCP server works in Cursor. To be upfront about money: a free account covers matching, resumes, cover letters and interview prep, plus five applications sent from an MCP client. More applications need a paid plan.
From the chat you can find jobs matched to your resume, tailor a resume and cover letter for one posting, and apply on the employer’s own hiring system. It supports 30+ of them, including Greenhouse, Lever, Workday and iCIMS. You can also track applications, read and answer recruiter replies, and get interview prep for a role. An application only shows as sent once the employer’s system confirms it arrived.
To set it up in Cursor, add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json. It’s a hosted remote server (Streamable HTTP), so nothing runs locally:
{ "mcpServers": { "getmattered": { "url": "https://mcp.getmattered.com/mcp" } } }
There’s no API key. The first tool call opens an OAuth sign-in in the browser, and Cursor keeps the token.
