Git back into the sidebar like VSCode

I don’t love the Git\Source Control baked into the files\solution view, is there a way to get it back as a sidebar option like in VSCode?

Thanks for the reply! Not the orientation, but having Git changes on it’s own sidebar command not shoved into the Explorer window.

…wait hang on I just installed it into my Parallels windows VM and it has the source control as a sidebar icon, it’s NOT in the explorer there.

What is going on?? (I need to use it more on MacOS)

Okay for anyone else… in the Explorer just DRAG the solution windows over into the sidebar and you’ll get the icon back
