Describe the Bug
Github shows connected to Cursor. And Cursor shows connected to Github, but when I’m in Cursor Chat and I ask it something about Github, it tells me it’s not connected.
I have tried:
- Revoking and Uninstalling Cursor on Github
- Revoking and uninstalling Github on Cursor IDE and Cloud
- signing out of cursor IDE
- turning off my github mcp settings
Can’t get it to work.
Also, when it doesn’t work. It sometimes asks me to Authenticate with Github and gives me a secret code. When I go to authenticate, it shows that I’m authenticating VSCode. But even after I do this and the flow returns me to Cursor IDE on mac, it’s still not fixed.
In addition, this hasn’t stopped Cursor cloud from working.
If I go to Cursor web and as a cloud agent the same thing. it has no problem pulling up the details and working on it.
