GPT-4o mini Missing from Models Settings

I noticed that GPT-4o mini has disappeared from the model selection in Cursor IDE’s settings. It was available earlier, but now I can no longer see it as an option.

Is anyone else experiencing this?
Did the Cursor team or OpenAI make an update that removed or disabled GPT-4o mini support?

Any insights or official updates would be appreciated!

Thanks.

Hey, this can happen if you have the API key enabled. However, you can try adding this model manually.

Thank you for the quick and kind response!

I have never enabled an API key in the settings. This includes any API keys, including those for OpenAI.

Could you please explain how to “try adding this model manually”? I’m also curious if there’s a way to reset the model settings.

Thank you again for your help!

You can add this model by clicking the + Add model button at the bottom of the model list. As for resetting settings, there is no such option.
