Grok 4.7 is very very very slow

Hey @TByte007, thanks for the version info. No need to dig for a Request ID, we were able to look up your recent requests directly.

What we found: the model itself is running at its normal speed, but today there’s extra waiting on our side between the steps of a run (after each bit of thinking, before the next action starts). It started this morning and affects other users too, not just you. I’ve flagged it to the team, and it’s already starting to ease, so there’s nothing you need to change on your end for this part.

Separately, your longest chat has grown quite large, and on High effort Grok 4.7 does a lot of thinking per step in a chat that size, which also makes each step slower. Starting a fresh chat for a new task (or using Medium effort for simpler ones) will keep things snappier.

For next time: in the layout you’re using, Copy Request ID lives in the chat’s menu rather than on each message. Click the … at the top right of the chat (or right-click the chat in the sidebar), then choose Copy > Copy Request ID.
