Grok Bot computer down since 16 Oct: restore keeps copying back a deleted 114 GB folder (T-H61879)

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Grok Bot

Describe the Bug

My Grok Bot computer has been unusable for most of the time since 16 October 2026 (Sydney time, UTC+11), and I can’t get a human reply from support.

An earlier local Dropbox copy at /home/box/Dropbox (about 114 GB) filled the disk. I deleted it and the computer came back on 19 Oct. But every restart restores that same folder from saved data, the disk fills again, and the computer freezes. It froze again on 20 Oct at 07:51 and is still down on 22 Oct. Even uptime times out after 14 minutes. All my Bots are stopped.

What I’ve done

  • Ticket T-H61879 ([email protected]), opened 16 Oct. I got two AI-assistant replies saying it was passed to the team, then nothing after follow-ups on 19, 20 and 21 Oct.
  • Emailed [email protected] on 21 Oct. It was auto-marked as a duplicate (T-I766).
  • I stopped running Update and Reset because support asked me to.

Expected Behavior

Someone removes /home/box/Dropbox from my computer’s saved data and rebuilds it on the backend, keeping Bots, chats, routines and logins. Deleting it from inside the computer doesn’t help, because the restore puts it back.

If that isn’t possible, a full wipe of the computer is fine too, like the one offered in T-G14112: I’m OK losing the computer’s files and logins, as long as my Bots, chats and routines are kept. Please make sure the saved copy is cleared as well, so the folder isn’t restored again.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Has anyone had this fixed, or can a staff member pick up T-H61879? Thanks.

Hey @Ksun

While we couldn’t preserve the data on your computer (your bots, routines, and chats should be kept), you should have a working computer again. Can you check?
